When you submit information to the Company through the Site or otherwise, you consent to the collection and processing of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, confirm that you are not located outside the United States, and consent to our collection, use, disclosure and retention of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. We currently only accept business and Site visitors within the United States.

  1. Personal Information
    Balance collects Personal Information from you, which may include your name, email address, address, phone number, social security number, date of birth, any information you provide to us during a call, any information you may provide to us to receive a proposal, such as an estimate of your mortgage pay-off amount, the status of your mortgage, the type of property you reside in, employment information, income, and financial information, and any information we receive about you with your consent, such as consumer report. This information is collected and stored electronically when you schedule a call with us or request to receive a proposal.
  1. Information Collected Automatically
    In addition, through your use of the Site, we may also automatically gather information about your use of the Site that does not identify you directly but may identify your computer or device, as more fully described in Section 5 of this Privacy Policy (Cookies and Other Information Collection Tools) and Section 6 (Interest Based Advertising). This information may include: your IP address, browser type, browser version, access times, unique device identifiers and other technical information such as protocol status and substatus, bytes sent and received, and server information.
    We may also collect information about how you interact with the Site. This information is used by us for our business purposes, including for the operation and improvement of the Site, for technical troubleshooting, to maintain quality of the Site, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Site.

    • With Third Party Service Providers Performing Services on Our Behalf. We share your personal information with our service providers to perform the functions for which we engage them. For example, we may use third parties to host the Site or assist us in providing functionality on the Site, provide analytics services for the Site, send out email updates about our products and services or other marketing purposes, process payments (e.g., Stripe, PayPal and Braintree), or obtain consumer reports (e.g., MethodFi).

We use social media plug-ins from social media networks like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest andTwitter, which are labeled on our Site with the well-known symbols of therespective social network. If you interact with these plug-ins, your activity on the Site may also be made available to those social networks.     Balance uses reasonable security measures designed to prevent unauthorized intrusion to the Site and the alteration, acquisition or misuse of Personal Information, however, we will not be responsible for loss, corruption or unauthorized acquisition or misuse of Personal Information that you provide through the Site that is stored by us, or for any damages resulting from such loss, corruption or unauthorized acquisition or misuse.

    Our Site does not currently take any action when it receives a Do Not Track request. Do Not Track is a privacy preference that you can set in your web browser to indicate that you do not want certain information about your webpage visits collected across websites when you have not interacted with that service on the page.
